More than $7.9 million in cryptocurrency was reportedly drained from Coinsbuy wallets, leading to unauthorized withdrawals and subsequent movements of funds into Monero via exchanges like ChangeNOW, according to an on-chain investigator. Three addresses are linked to the theft: two Ethereum and one TRON address.
ChangeNOW cooperated with SpecterAnalyst, who provided details about the heist and its aftermath, in freezing a portion of the stolen assets. Coinsbuy has now restored affected client funds, though no official timeline or further details on how many clients were impacted have been disclosed as yet.
