US-listed spot Bitcoin ETFs see $244.4 million net inflows on Wednesday

US-listed spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) recorded $244.4 million in net inflows on Wednesday, according to SoSoValue data. This follows $626 million in net inflows over three consecutive days in August, reflecting sustained investor interest in the asset class. BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT) accounted for $479 million of the three-day total, as reported by Farside Investors.

Bitcoin’s price rose to $64,744.53 on Wednesday, marking a 0.7% increase over 24 hours, as tracked by CoinGecko. Ether ETFs saw $60.9 million in net inflows on Wednesday, with cumulative inflows of $114.6 million over two days. In contrast, XRP ETFs experienced $3.58 million in net outflows, despite holding total net assets of $993.4 million.

The divergent performance between Ether and XRP ETFs underscores varying investor sentiment across cryptocurrencies. XRP ETFs have nonetheless accumulated $1.51 billion in cumulative net inflows, according to available data. The Crypto Fear & Greed Index stood at 25 on Wednesday, indicating “extreme fear” among market participants, as per the index’s methodology.
