U.S. spot bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) recorded $2.4 billion in net inflows for the week ending Sept. 25, marking a reversal of prior outflows and bringing their 2026 net flows to a positive balance. Ether funds also saw significant inflows, with $689.9 million added over the same period, ending a week of outflows.
BlackRock’s IBIT, the largest bitcoin ETF, led weekly inflows with $1.2 billion, the second-largest weekly total since October 2025. Fidelity’s FBTC, the second-largest bitcoin ETF by assets under management, added $701.7 million, its largest weekly inflow since September 2025. Ark and 21Shares’ ARKB recorded $294.7 million in inflows, nearly all on Monday.
Morgan Stanley’s MSBT, which launched in April, saw $203.3 million in inflows for the week, its highest since inception. Solana ETFs, including Bitwise’s BSOL, attracted $86.7 million in inflows on Friday, a record for the week. XRP ETFs also drew $75.6 million, while Grayscale’s Zcash fund (ZCSH) briefly surpassed $1.0 billion in net assets.
Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas linked the turnaround to Treasury Department bond buybacks, citing a “$4.6b tsunami of cash” directed toward the programme. Nate Geraci of NovaDius Wealth Management noted that Monday’s $1 billion inflow into bitcoin ETFs was the ninth largest ever recorded.
