Market Close: Bitcoin surges 10.0% as the crypto market surges, with XRP standing out among major movers

The Blockchain Bugle Market Briefing brought to you by Red Fox Capital takes a look at today’s trading session, as Bitcoin surges strongly, and with XRP leading the session amid a broadly positive session.

Market Close: XRP surges 8.18% as Bitcoin and Dogecoin rise

XRP rose sharply during the session, with Bitcoin and Dogecoin also posting gains, while Ethereum’s advance was modest compared to other major assets.

XRP surged 8.18%, the largest single-move gain among major cryptocurrencies, lifting its price to $1.20 from $1.11. Bitcoin advanced 2.53% to $71,320.49, extending its recent upward trend. Dogecoin rose 2.96% to $0.08, and Cardano climbed 4.66% to $0.19. Ethereum, however, posted the smallest gain among the top assets, rising 0.61% to $2,263.83.

The market capitalisation of Bitcoin reached $1.43 trillion, while XRP’s market value climbed to $74.99 billion. Trading volumes varied widely, with XRP’s 24-hour volume at $5.05 billion and Dogecoin’s at $1.36 billion. Solana and BNB also rose, with Solana up 1.35% to $86.47 and BNB gaining 2.04% to $639.00.

All 10 tracked cryptocurrencies ended higher, though the disparity in performance highlighted divergent trends. XRP’s surge outpaced other major assets, while Ethereum’s modest gain underscored its relative underperformance. Dogecoin’s rise, though smaller in absolute terms, reflected broader momentum in lower-cap assets.

No significant declines were recorded, with all assets trading above previous session lows. The market’s overall direction remained upward, though the pace of gains varied sharply across segments.
