CFTC Plans Meeting on Crypto Assets Regulation

The US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) is set to convene an Innovation Advisory Committee meeting in August, focusing on cryptocurrency regulation and other emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and prediction markets.
The meeting, scheduled for August 20, follows the absence of a full panel of five bipartisan commissioners since October. This has led lawmakers to call for action from US President Donald Trump regarding potential nominations to fill vacancies at the CFTC.
