EToro Reports Loss in Q2, Slides from 2025 Earnings

Trading platform EToro reported a $7.2 million loss in its crypto trading activities during the second quarter of 2026, marking nearly a 120% decline from a profit of $37.7 million seen in the same period last year. Despite this financial setback, EToro outlined plans for on-chain perpetual futures and an expansion of crypto buying power, both set to be launched “soon.”

The company also reported a significant drop in activity with just 1.4 million trades conducted in July, down by 73% from the previous year’s figures. This decline reflects broader market trends affecting trading platforms.

Key facts:

– $7.2 million loss in Q2 2026

– $37.7 million profit in Q2 2025

– Crypto revenue: $1.35 billion (down 29%)

– Cost of crypto revenue: $1.35 billion

Uncertainties remain, with questions about the success of EToro’s on-chain perpetual futures and the efficacy of its upcoming “crypto buying power” initiative.
