Binance Expands Traditional Finance Offerings with Options Trading on US Stocks and ETFs

Binance is broadening its financial services by introducing options trading on over 1,000 US stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) for users outside the United States. The move, facilitated by its Abu Dhabi-based broker-dealer Nest Trading and executed through US-registered Alpaca Securities, follows Binance’s existing offering of equities trading on more than 7,000 US stocks and ETFs.

The expansion comes as traditional finance trading on Binance’s platform saw significant growth, with perpetual futures volume reaching $433 billion in August—15 times the January total. Concurrently, monthly transfer volume for tokenized stocks rose 93% to $25.1 billion, reflecting heightened activity in the sector.

Tokenized stocks have also seen a surge in adoption, with distributed value reaching $2.6 billion, up from $346 million at the same time last year. The number of holders of tokenized stocks increased by 157% to nearly 2.5 million, indicating growing interest in digitized assets.

Other major players in the space have also expanded their offerings. Coinbase extended its B20 tokenized equities to Base, while Kraken expanded access to 7,000 US-listed stocks for European customers. Robinhood launched its Robinhood Chain and Stock Tokens for eligible users across more than 120 countries.

The developments highlight a broader trend of cryptocurrency exchanges deepening their integration with traditional financial markets, offering a wider array of products to attract institutional and retail investors.
