Goldman Sachs Offers $100 Billion Treasury Fund via Lynq Without Tokenization

Goldman Sachs is expanding access to its $100 billion Treasury fund, FTIXX, through Lynq, a digital-asset settlement network, without tokenizing the offering. The arrangement, facilitated by SEC-registered broker-dealer tZERO Securities, marks Lynq’s first distribution of an external fund and contrasts with tokenized approaches by rivals such as BlackRock and Franklin Templeton.

The move underscores a growing effort to bridge traditional finance and digital assets, with Lynq’s network now supporting over 30 institutional digital-asset firms and holding more than $89 million in assets. Unlike tokenized alternatives, which allow fractional ownership via blockchain, Goldman Sachs’ approach relies on Lynq’s infrastructure to enable trades without converting the fund into digital tokens.

Lynq CEO Jerald David highlighted the convergence of traditional and digital markets in an interview with CoinDesk TV, noting increased collaboration between sectors. The fund’s distribution leverages Avalanche’s Layer 1 blockchain, positioning Lynq as a key intermediary in institutional crypto transactions. Goldman Sachs’ FTIXX, one of the largest Treasury funds, remains accessible exclusively through Lynq’s network for now.
