Tether and Fasanara Capital Commit $400 Million to New Private Credit Fund StableFund

Tether and Fasanara Capital have announced a $400 million commitment to launch StableFund, a private credit fund designed to utilise Fasanara’s global fintech lending network. The initiative aims to raise up to $3 billion from third-party investors, with Tether supplying stablecoin infrastructure to support the fund’s operations.

StableFund will focus on short-duration, asset-backed credit strategies, leveraging Fasanara’s existing platform to deploy capital across over 60 countries. Tether’s role includes providing settlement infrastructure through its stablecoin network, while Fasanara will oversee investment management and lending activities.

Fasanara Capital, which manages over $6 billion in assets, has highlighted the potential to enhance cross-border credit efficiency. The fund’s structure reflects growing demand for alternative financing solutions in emerging markets, where traditional banking systems often face limitations.

Paolo Ardoino, Tether’s chief executive, stated the partnership would “channel capital directly to businesses and communities in need,” while Fasanara’s Francesco Filia emphasised efforts to “improve capital deployment in real-economy lending markets.” The fund’s launch underscores the expanding influence of stablecoin issuers in shaping global financial infrastructure.
