Binance has launched options trading on over 1,000 U.S. stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) through Nest Trading Limited, a broker-dealer regulated by the Abu Dhabi Global Market. The offering, physically settled and unavailable to U.S. users, marks a further step in Binance’s integration of traditional financial products. Orders are routed to Alpaca Securities, a U.S.-registered firm responsible for execution, clearing, and custody.
The move follows Binance’s earlier expansion in June, which enabled non-U.S. users to trade 7,000+ U.S.-listed stocks and ETFs. Data from August shows tradFi perpetual futures volume on Binance surged to $433.4 billion, 15 times the $29.5 billion recorded in January. Equity-linked perpetuals accounted for 79% of this volume, generating $342.9 billion compared to $410.9 million in January.
Binance’s Head of Exchange and Trading, Shunyet Jan, said the new options “are an important next step in Binance’s evolution into a fuller multi-asset platform,” allowing users to access traditional finance products “all from one Binance account.” The offering adds to Binance’s growing presence in traditional markets, which includes equities trading and perpetual futures.
Separately, Bybit plans to launch 24/7 options on stock perpetuals on 17 September, intensifying competition in the sector. The expansion underscores the crypto exchange’s broader push into traditional financial instruments, reflecting shifting industry dynamics and regulatory adaptations.
