The Blockchain Bugle Market Briefing brought to you by Red Fox Capital takes a look at today’s trading session, as Bitcoin surges strongly, and with XRP leading the session amid a broadly positive session.
Market Close: Bitcoin, XRP rise as crypto market rebounds
Bitcoin rose 2.53% to $71,320.49, while XRP surged 8.18% to $1.20, marking the most significant single-asset gain of the session. Ethereum posted a modest 0.61% increase to $2,263.83, with all major cryptocurrencies ending higher.
Bitcoin’s price climbed to a new intraday high, extending its recent recovery from a brief consolidation phase. The asset’s market capitalisation reached $1.43 trillion, with 24-hour trading volume rising to $69.8 billion. XRP’s performance outpaced most peers, despite broader market conditions that saw Ethereum’s gain limited to a fraction of Bitcoin’s advance.
Dogecoin advanced 2.96% to $0.08, while Cardano rose 4.66% to $0.19, reflecting selective strength in smaller-cap assets. Solana gained 1.35% to $86.47, and BNB rose 2.04% to $639.00. Trading volumes for most assets remained stable, with XRP’s 24-hour volume reaching $5.05 billion.
The market’s relative performance highlighted divergences between leading assets and smaller-cap projects, though no major systemic pressures were evident. Bitcoin’s gains were supported by sustained institutional interest, while XRP’s surge followed renewed on-chain activity. Ethereum’s muted movement contrasted with broader bullish trends, though its price action remained within a narrow range.
No significant declines were recorded across the market, with all tracked assets posting positive returns. The overall market capitalisation of cryptocurrencies rose to $2.16 trillion, reflecting a broad-based rebound from earlier volatility.
